We strive to give you a great experience when you open one of our egg boxes, each egg carefully placed in its position. All the boxes with a similar pattern, brown, white and blue eggs dotted amongst the box. On the roof of the box is a little note, which changes every month, giving you a new update on our chickens.
But, despite all this wonderful experience, your probably wondering, how do we get such a beautiful variety of egg colours in our boxes??đ€
Well its because of the different chickens that we care for on our farm. We have:
White Leghorns - These are the chickens that lay the white eggs. Known not only to hold the record for the best layer but also the most athletic. We would often find these chickens high up in the rafters or scratching away on the bark of some high up branch.
Cheshire Blues - These are the chickens the ones that lay the blue eggs. They are by far the most tame and best looking chickens.
Norfolk Grays - These chickens lay light brown eggs, they are the ones that like to scratch around in the dirt, finding delicious insects and worms.
White/Suffolk/Rhode Island Red hybrids - These are the chickens that lay the decent all-round brown eggs, these chickens are the base of our flock, the ones we started with, the base of our flock.
Copper Blacks - these are the chickens that lay the dark brown eggs, (hence the name) and they seem to always be the ones hiding, the ones that come in for bed the last.
So, with all the white, blue, light/dark and normal brown eggs you get one of the best 'eggs'periences with our produce.

We have just received and are still awaiting the arrival of some hatching eggs which we will fill our incubator with. And hopefully in 3 weeks time, we'll have some little chicks pecking around!
